CROSS-BODY-LEAD
9 Lessons -
Lesson 1
In this course we dive into a new core rhythm called the "Clave". A rhythm referred to as the backbone of Salsa. It's a typically played with two wooden sticks but many people like to clap it out loud. Let's learn how it sounds and its counts.
The key to dancing is muscle-memory so let's start our lesson dancing right away while reviewing Course 2's material: The "Side step", and new "Right Turn" combination. As always, we will recap it all with counts and then to music to solidify it all.
Here comes the fourth core basic step in this program: the Rock Step. A move of which its technique will be useful for future moves like Open Breaks, Baskets, Copas, and more. I like using rock steps specially while in Closed Position .
Lesson 4
The Cross Body Lead is Salsa's core traveling move. Since we learned how to dance in Closed Position (CP), lets now learn how to do a CP CBL . Many future moves derive from CBLs, or use CBLs, so master it well!
This combination includes material covered in the last 3 courses. Your challenge is take them apart and try linking them in a different order. your ability to do this is what's going to set you apart from other dancers.

We spend a majority of our time dancing together in order to: help you build better muscle memory; give you added confidence on the dance floor, and continue preparing you for the next stage.
